HOW TO USE NET CARBS

It is very important to note that once you learn how to calculate the net carbs on a food label, you will also need to look at the ingredients list before determining if a food is healthy for you. Even if a food is low in net carbs, it may still contain added sugar and refined starches, so always read the label, because quality matters!

HOW MANY NET CARBS SHOULD YOU EAT?

Well, it depends! For some people on a weight release journey, even 30 grams can be an issue at the start, while others can eventually maintain their weight eating 100 grams of net carbs or more. This number is personal to you because blood sugar balance and insulin regulation are inter-related with our body’s overall hormonal status, ability to produce key enzymes, and even our digestive capacity.

I help my clients discover what their number is, so they can release excess weight and sustain it going forward, without feeling hungry or deprived all the time. This is indeed a journey, but knowing what to look for is the first step!
