It is very important to note that once you learn how to calculate the net carbs on a food label, you will also need to look at the ingredients list before determining if a food is healthy for you. Even if a food is low in net carbs, it may still contain added sugar and refined starches, so always read the label, because quality matters!


Well, it depends! For some people on a weight release journey, even 30 grams can be an issue at the start, while others can eventually maintain their weight eating 100 grams of net carbs or more. This number is personal to you because blood sugar balance and insulin regulation are inter-related with our body’s overall hormonal status, ability to produce key enzymes, and even our digestive capacity.
